Conservation skills development goes glossy

The EWT’s Conservation Leadership Programme has been working with nature conservation students for over 11 years. As part of the mentoring and supervision support provided to the students, a series of modules that not only facilitate the actual conservation skills development activities conducted at the week-long camps, but also serve as additional reference materials. This year, the CLP is proud to announce the glossy production of these modules. Thank-you to Lesoba Difference and RICOH for their help, and for supporting our future conservation leaders.
For more information contact Graeme Wilson.

EWT conferencing goes virtual

The EWT’s African Crane Conservation Programme is the first of our programmes to run a completely virtual AGM. It took place over a 2 week period with just on 40 participants. This initiative reduced our carbon footprint and set a new challenge for other programmes.
For more information contact Kerryn Morrison .

Our turn to help

When the EWT moved its head office from the Johannesburg Zoo to Modderfontein in July this year, we left behind a few things that were simply impractical to move. One of these was a large metal container, which we donated to Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, a welfare organisation of the Catholic Church. They are using the container as a soup kitchen in Zandspruit. We are glad we could make a difference.
