Become a Conservation Champion

Become a Conservation Champion by taking one, or more, of the following steps!

1. Join our virtual fundraising pack.

Become a Conservation Champion for the EWT by joining our fundraising pack. There are lots of ways in which you can help raise vital funds for conservation, in your own home or community.

Host an online dinner party or wine tasting just for fun or to celebrate a special occasion; “donate” your birthday to the EWT, by asking for contributions instead of gifts; organise a virtual race; or get creative and come up with a fundraising challenge all of your own. By challenging yourself, or supporting a challenge, you’ll help to ensure that our work continues. It’s free and it’s fun and you can make a real difference. We need you now more than ever to help us to keep protecting forever, together. To get started, contact Tammy Baker on

We’d love to see the fruits of your challenges, so be sure to tag us in any photos or videos you post on social media!

2. Take action.

Through its Wild ‘n Free initiative, the EWT is calling on all South Africans to be the voice for the voiceless and join the fight against keeping carnivores in captivity for petting, walking-with, photo-tourism, captive hunting and the trade in their body parts. Members of the public unwittingly play an enormous role in an industry that thrives off keeping carnivores like Lions, Cheetah, Leopards and African Wild Dogs behind bars, often for nefarious reasons.

Take the pledge to keep our carnivores #WildnFree, by committing not to support facilities that offer interactions with these animals, and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
