Wine tasting on the wild side

A sneak peek at Painted Wolf Wines’ brand new range

DATE: Wed 16 February 2022
TIME: 18:30–20:00 approx.
WHERE: In your living room via Zoom

Lightning, Solo, Teardrop, and Scarlet are the names of famous African wild dogs that lived in the wilds of Africa. We decided to recognize each of these magnificent animals by naming a wine in its honour. We have invited some of Africa’s most respected wild dog experts from Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and SA to chat with Dr Harriet Davies-Mostert of the Endangered Wildlife Trust and share their fascinating anecdotes about the dogs, life in the bush, why they chose wild dogs as their study subject or why wild dogs chose them! In between the talks, our winemaker Jeremy Borg will take us through each wine and invite your input in a Q&A session after the event.

HOW TO JOIN: Send an email to orders@paintedwolfwines.com requesting a virtual tasting case. You’ll be invoiced and we’ll get your wine dispatched straight away. You will receive special hand-labelled bottles, a link to the event and tasting notes to guide you along. The normal price for this case is R1,335, excluding delivery. For this event, you will pay only R950 including delivery (offer available in South Africa only).

Please hurry – we need to have your order by Tuesday 8 February so we can get your wine to you on time!

Your case of wines will contain:

LIGHTNING Sauvignon Blanc 2021 (R200)
SOLO Roussanne 2020 (R185)
TEARDROP Viognier 2020 (R160)
SCARLET Syrah 2019 (R190)
LYCAON Chenin Blanc 2021 (R240)
PICTUS VIII 2018 (Carignan, Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, Syrah, Mourvèdre) (R360)

We are very excited to be hosting this special evening and hope we can count you in. We suggest you invite a few friends over, organize something delicious to nibble on, shine up the wine glasses and get ready for an evening to remember.
