We can’t perform miracles

but we can turn your small change into more bucks

25% of the Oribi (Ourebia ourebi) population has disappeared in South Africa over the past 20 years.

At current supply and demand, South Africa’s fresh water resources will be fully utilised by 2025.

EVERY JOURNEY STARTS WITH A SINGLE STEP...

Sometimes the smallest thing can change the world.  Just as planting one seed can result in a forest… so can conserving one individual, contribute to securing the future of an entire species.

Imagine a world without the graceful leap of the Humpback Dolphin … or without the unique majesty of our national bird, the Blue Crane.  Do we really want our children to grow up looking at photographs of these species – just as we now gaze at drawings of the Quagga or the Blue Antelope?

For almost 35 years the Endangered Wildlife Trust has been dedicated to the conservation of ecosystems and threatened wildlife throughout southern Africa.

Our specialist Working Groups collectively coordinate over 100 projects throughout southern Africa. These groups focus on priority conservation issues such as conserving wetlands, addressing the irresponsible use of poisons and agri-chemicals and conserving critically endangered species such as the African Wattled Crane.

But we cannot do it alone.

We rely entirely on the generosity of concerned people such as yourself. Without your intervention, species such as the Oribi and their threatened grassland habitat will disappear forever.
