A Beginner’s Guide to Bird Watching
The Johannesburg Zoo through generous sponsorship from Sasol, has just published their first Bird book for beginners.

The main aim is to enable visitors to identify most of the birds housed at the Zoo. Indigenous and exotic birds are included as well as a free-flying species that might fall into either category.

The Zoo is the ideal facility to learn more about birds. Each enclosure has signage about each species and a birding map is included in the book to assist you to identify the birds correctly.

 
 
  A handy bookmark with relevant bird characteristics is included to make your task even easier.

The book is currently available at the Education Department during weekdays.
