THE EWT COMMUNITY - FUNDRAISING GUIDELINES

Paying Money:

You can pay in the money you have raised at www.ewt.org.za using a credit or
debit card.

Or send a cheque, made payable to 'Endangered Wildlife Trust' to:
Private Bag X11 Parkview 2122

If you have raised funds for a particular Working Group, please mark this clearly on the back of your cheque. Alternatively if you have raised funds by participating in an activity please mark clearly what this activity was and when it took place when sending
in your payment.

Here are a Few Simple Steps To Success:

Simple fundraising ideas work best
Use fundraising ideas which you know work well
Costs - keep them low
Contacts - ask everyone to ask all their friends and relations to join in
Enthusiasm is essential
Shout about your event... get all the publicity you can
Say a big thank-you to all involved and publicise how much was raised.

Safe & Legal Fundraising

General Advice

  • Be safe, don’t do anything illegal or dangerous. Do try to take reasonable care
of the health and safety of both yourself and other people. Consider how any planned fundraising events could affect the safety of other people. If you are unsure, please check with your Local Authority.

Collections

  • Always get permission from the EWT before doing a fundraising event
    or collection.
Publicity and Resources

EWT is happy to supply free fundraising resources such as membership forms and posters. Please call us on 011 486 1102 to order these. If you are creating your own publicity materials, don’t forget that EWT is a registered Public Benefit Organisation and Non Profit Organisation and that all marketing material must be approved by the EWT.
This means that our registration numbers must appear on all fundraising resources.
The wording is: The Endangered Wildlife Trust NPO 015-502 PBO930 001 777.
